Ingredients

For the streusel

  • 400g flour
  • 200g sugar
  • 200g butter (Ratio: 1 part flour, ½ part butter, ½ part sugar)

For the dough

  • 250g low-fat quark
  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 100g sugar
  • 500g flour
  • 2 packets baking powder
  • 2 packets vanilla sugar

Instructions

Prepare streusel

  1. Mix flour, sugar and soft butter with the mixer.
  2. Let the mixture sit for a bit, then form small balls (streusel) from it.

Prepare dough

  1. Mix quark, oil, milk, sugar and vanilla sugar.
  2. Mix half the flour with baking powder and stir into the other ingredients.
  3. Put the remaining flour on the work surface, add the first mixture and work into a homogeneous mass with your hands.

Assembly and baking

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C convection.
  2. Spread the dough mass on a large baking sheet.
  3. Lightly moisten surface with water.
  4. Distribute streusel evenly over the top.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes until it turns brownish.
