Ingredients
- 2¼ cups flour (approx. 250g)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup butter (250g)
- ¾ cup sugar (150g)
- ¾ cup brown raw sugar (150g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips (or whatever you like!)
- 1 cup nuts (as desired)
- ¼ cup oats (25g)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C.
- Mix together butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs.
- Add flour, baking powder and salt, then stir in chocolate chips, nuts and oats.
Shaping
- Option 1: Use two spoons to place small mounds on the baking sheet
- Option 2: Form rolls from the mixture. If you have time, you can chill these in the refrigerator to make them easier to slice.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes at 190°C.
Tips
- Cookies are done when edges are lightly golden
- Don’t overbake - they’ll firm up more as they cool
- Chilling the dough rolls makes slicing much easier
- Chocolate and nuts can be varied according to taste
