Butter Cookies
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the room temperature butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the flour and knead everything into a smooth dough.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 3-4mm thickness.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until light golden yellow. Baking time may vary depending on your oven, so watch the cookies carefully to prevent over-browning.
  8. After baking, carefully remove the butter cookies from the sheet and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
