Brownies
Fudgy American brownies with intense chocolate flavor - a classic that always delights.
Ingredients
- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g butter
- 200g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100g flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 100g chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Grease a square baking pan (approx. 20x20 cm) or line with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler or microwave.
- Stir in sugar and let cool slightly.
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Sift flour and salt and gently fold in.
- If using nuts, mix them in at the end.
- Pour batter into the pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes - brownies should be firm outside but still slightly soft inside.
- Let cool completely before cutting.
Tips
- Brownies are done when an inserted toothpick comes out slightly moist
- Don’t overbake - they’ll become dry
- Taste best the next day
- Can be served dusted with powdered sugar
